Moncef Al-Salawi reveals when the Corona vaccine will be available

The head of the US team in charge of the development of the Corona vaccine, the Morrocan  searcher Moncef Al-Sallawi, announced in an interview with "Sky News Arabia" that the vaccine will be available before the end of 2020.

Al-Slaoui said the Corona vaccine will be ready once it passes the third phase of testing, noting that "6 types of vaccines are currently being tested."

"The vaccine will become available after passing the third phase of the trials, and we cannot expect the results to appear," he added.

"I say it will be ready between October or November or December or until January at the latest. I am optimistic that it will be before the end of this year," he said.

Regarding the reason for the delay in obtaining the vaccine compared to Russia and China, Al-Sallawi explained, “The third phase of the experiments is technically difficult and financially expensive, so it takes a long time ... and what Russia and China announced is, I'm sure it's more political than technical. It's not about the speed of the announcement but more about the effectiveness. By subjecting as many people as possible to the vaccine. "

Then he said, "If everything goes according to plan, we will get all Americans immunized by April and we can deliver the vaccine to other countries at that time."

Al-Salawi has previously expressed confidence in producing hundreds of millions of doses of the Corona pandemic vaccine by the end of this year.

Last week, Trump announced that 100 million doses of the Covid-19 vaccine would have been manufactured before the end of the year, indicating that enough of them for 330 million Americans will be available from by April 2021.

Last May, US President Donald Trump announced the appointment of Moroccan scientist Moncef Sallawi to head the White House initiative to develop a vaccine against the emerging corona virus (Covid 19).
