The Movistar team wins the team classification ahead of the Jumbo-Visma team. The next edition of the Tour de France, which will start from Brest, is scheduled from June 26 to July 18, 2021.



After arriving on the Champs-Elysées, Christian Prudhomme, the director of the Tour de France, expressed his relief at having completed an edition that could have never taken place, due to the coronavirus crisis. For his part, Tadej Pogacar, the final winner of this Tour de France 2020, did not hide his emotion after arriving on the Champs-Elysées: "It's incredible, it's really crazy to be the winner of the Tour de France.   • The mountain classification is established according to the following scale:

  • Youth ranking

  • Team classification

The general team classification is established by adding the three best individual times of each team. In the stage classifications, in case of a tie, the teams achieving the same time are separated by the addition of the places obtained by their three best riders in the classification of that stage. In the event of a new tie, the teams are separated by the place of their best rider in the standings for the stage.


In the general classification, in the event of a tie, the teams are separated by their number of stage victories per team, then by their number of second places, and so on until several places obtained. by one or the other makes it possible to establish their final classification. If there is still a tie, the teams are separated by the place of their best rider in the general individual classification. Any formation reduced to less than 3 riders is eliminated from the general team classification.


  • Combativeness Prize

The combativity prize rewards the runner who is the most generous in the effort and who shows the best sportsmanship. This prize, awarded in the online stages except for the last stage, is awarded by a jury chaired by the director of the event:


The most combative of the stage wear red bibs in the next stage.

A Super-combative is appointed by the members of the jury at the end of the Tour de France.

  • Awards

In total, 2,293,000 € are distributed during this Tour. The winner of the final general classification wins € 500,000, a bonus being paid up to the last classified rider (€ 1,000).
